General Building and handymanpower

For general building trade and handyman reactive maintenance tasks we charge £30.00p plus vat per hour or part hour
We charge £40.00p plus vat for first hour and this would include any travel time to site.

Plumbing and central heating

WARNING; With Oil and Gas central heating systems an instant diagnosis of a fault is not always possible and a time consuming processes of elimination can run up costs considerably.

For oil (Oftec) and gas (Gas Safe) reactive maintenance we charge £80.00p plus vat for the first hour and £40.00p plus vat for each hour or part hour thereafter.

This would include any travel time to site unless it is the first appointment of the day at 0800hrs

Oil Boiler servicing; We charge £125.00p plus vat

Depending on the age and condition of your boiler the following may be part of your boiler service;

• Burner strip down and clean
• Replace nozzle
• Clean and inspect electrodes
• Replace flexi hose if required or over two years old
• Fuel filter replacement (if fitted} clean fuel tank strainer
• Check fuel tank
• Remove baffles and clean (hoover out) internal combustion chamber.
• Test fire valve
• Check and clean turbulators if condensing boiler
• Clean and check the condensate trap and discharge pipe.
• Check the PRV and expansion vessel pressure if fitted.

Gas boiler servicing; We charge £85.00p plus vat

Depending on the age and condition of your boiler the following mat be part of your boiler service;

• Checking H/Exchanger and cleaning if necessary
• Checking/Cleaning burner
• Checking Flame Pic
• Checking Gas Pressures/Gas Rate
• Checking Flame Failure Devices
• Checking Case Seals on RS CHBs or Spillage/Flow on OFs
• Emissions Test
• Clean and check the condensate trap and discharge pipe.

Power flushing

Depending on the amount of radiators you have and their condition the price will vary and each property is treated differently to maximise the efficiency of the flushing service.

We often attend and insert chemicals to free up the sludge that may have formed over many years and return a week later to make the process more effective.

It may be that we need to remove radiators from the wall to clean them outside.

Booking Payment:

On making an appointment domestic customers pay by credit or debit card for the first hours attendance/to confirm the booking. (£40.00p plus vat or £90.00p plus vat out of office hours and weekends.)

Appointment times:

We can only promise an AM or PM appointment but will try and be as close to a time as we can suggest but it is never possible to be 100% accurate due to the nature of building and central heating work.

Estimates:

Our office staff can provide you with an estimation of time and potential costs by telephone prior to attendance.

Should our engineer attend and the estimate of time is greater than expected the £40.00p plus vat booking payment is still charged even if no work takes place.

We will always try and be as realistic as possible when giving an estimate prior to attendance.

Materials:

Materials supplied by Quinplex will be charged at retail prices.

Material Collection:

Time spent sourcing materials is also chargeable.

Invoice:

An invoice will be sent out clearly showing a full description of work carried out - time started/time finished, a full breakdown of Labour and materials.

Payment will be taken on the card details provided at the time of booking once the works are completed.

Quoted works:

For larger projects believed to be valued at over £500.00p plus vat we will attend and provide a quotation free of charge.

Emergency Out of Hours i.e. 1700hrs to 0800hrs and weekends.
£90.00p plus vat for the first hour and £45.00p plus vat for each hour or part hour thereafter.

Our 0800 840 40 43 number is manned 24 hours 7 days per week and we take e-mail and landline requests.

All our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months.
